A huge thank you to Mr. John and Ms. Elena for organizing a wonderful and fun-filled Field Day! The weather was gorgeous and our students had a blast! We would also like to thank all of our parent volunteers for helping to ensure that we had the best Field Day yet. We wish you all a wonderful holiday and we look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, April 18th.

Are you Spring-Cleaning your book collection?

The BFIS Libraries are organising the annual Sant Jordi Used Book Sale, which will take place during our Elementary festivities on Friday, April 21st. Last year we raised approximately 750€ of additional funds for the libraries.

If you have any books for donation, now is the time to put them to good use.  Please speak to Ms. Emma before bringing them into school. They would be delighted to arrange a time for you to drop off any relevant material that is in good or excellent condition.

Thank you in advance for helping to support the sale and the libraries!

ES Library looking for Puzzles and Games

Written by EmmaK. Posted in 3rd Grade, 4th Grade, 5th Grade, ES Library

We are starting a Puzzle Club in the library at lunchtime for Grades 3, 4 and 5.

I am on the lookout for some good quality puzzle type games like Matermind or IQ Twist and puzzles.

If you have any at home and would like to donate them to our Elementary School Library, we will take very good care of them.

Drop them off with Miss Emma in the Library.

Puzzle club will start on Monday 20th March with the help of some Middle School Students.

Thank you!

Thank you so much to all the parents who were able to attend our Grade 5 Morning Meeting today in the ES Library.

It is a pleasure to encourage everyone to use our library more and showcase some of the great books we have to offer you.  It is such an excellent resource and my goal this year is to encourage more parents to come and check out books, make requests and see how the library is supporting your child in the classroom.

Don’t worry if you were not able to make it.  I have included a link here to my presentation highlighting the theme of Growth and Human Development.

Please let me know if you would prefer not to have any of these books available to your child or would prefer to read them first before your child checks them out.

You’re welcome in the library anytime!
Best Wishes,
