Day 2 at Cardona started with a drizzle (ok a lot). But that did not keep our students from waking up bright and early full of excitement. After breakfast we had to modify some of our activities to take place indoors due to the weather.
Students are getting ready for lunch now. After they eat, they will be partake in the last group activity left in their rotation, snack, arts and crafts, dinner and the much awaited Disco Night!
More pictures to come.
Hello 2nd and 3rd grade families!
We have arrived safely to Cardona and so far the weather has been our friend! The students got so excited when we first saw the Cardona Castle from the bus. We were greeted by our monitors and introduced to the wonderful Vilar we will be calling “home” for the next couple of days.
After lunch, we slit up into our groups to do some team building games lead by our amazing monitors. We learned about the story of the stolen crown and how we are all going to train for the next couple of days to become the “caballeros y damas” so that we can bring the salt crown back safely to the Vilar. Each group came up with a name, fight song and team chant.
The students are currently enjoying their snacks provided by the Vilar and will then start the different “training activities” that will help them become strong and skillful dama y caballero. We will rotate between swimming, balance, agility, and the climbing wall in the next two days so that on our last day we are fully prepared to go get the salt crown back!
And don’t worry….these are just a couple of the pictures we have taken so far. Tonight, we will be uploading more!!! Stay tuned!
