Sweet Panellets…

Written by Núria Araguas. Posted in Spanish-Catalan Studies

Have you ever wondered what are those delicious treats called panellets made out of? Have you been cooking seasonal food and wanted to name the ingredients in Spanish?

Our second graders can help you! In Spanish-Catalan-Studies, Ms.María and Ms.Núria have been teaching about all the different traditions that we celebrate during this time of the year. Students had fun singing the “Castañera” song, listening to this famous folktale and playing with vocabulary words. To wrap-up the unit, we had a little party eating homemade panellets. Enjoy the pictures!

Don´t forget to give us feedback on Student Parent Teacher Conferences

Written by Paul Fulce. Posted in MS/HS Principal

We are delighted that so many of you came with your child(ren) to visit the teachers and learn about active ways you can support your student’s success in the classroom.

We are sorry that there were some glitches in the booking system.  We are running some enquiries and have worked with google to try and ascertain why the system did not work as well as it has in the past.  If you were one who was inconvenienced, please accept our apologies.

We’d like to remind you that our teachers are available every day during their prep times to meet with parents.  You don’t have to wait until the next official parent-teacher conference.  Please feel free to email your child’s teacher(s) if you would like a conference at any point.  Remember that a teacher’s email address is simply the teacher’s first name, the first initial of the last name @bfischool.org . Please let Paul, Nick, or Martha know if we can assist you in this endeavor.

In the meantime, please take one minute to fill out this quick survey about your recent PTC experience.  Your feedback will truly help us in considering future conference structures.
